This one day flashgun lighting course for Nikon & Canon users aims to demystify the often intimidating area of using flashguns correctly and creatively.

Photographers often find flashguns intimidating and therefore never fully realise their potential. The key to using flashguns is understanding how they syncronise with your camera's focal plane shutter and the two main control modes TTL and Manual. The one-day, hands on workshop guides you through all practical scenarios.

You will quickly learn how to use your flashgun in TTL and Manual mode (with camera in M, Aperture Priority & Shutter priority), how to bounce the flash, how to balance flash with daylight, flash exposure compensation with camera exposure compensation, rear curtain flash in lowlight combined with slow shutter speeds and HSS/FP (High Speed Sync). You will leave the day quite competent and confident with flashgun photography and it will transform the way you make photographs.

Bonus: Course participants receive half price on annual Photofusion membership (£25 instead of £50) and a 50% discount on the studio for their first session (£75 instead of the full day price which varies between £150 and £98 inclusive of VAT).

Directions & Orientation: Photofusion is a 2-minute walk from Brixton Tube Station (last stop on the Victoria Line). Exit left, only one exit and take first left at Iceland into the market Electric Avenue. Then take first right into Electric Lane. Look up and halfway down on your left and you'll see a large vertical Photofusion sign, beneath the sign is a clear glass door and an entry buzzer. We are also 2 minutes from Brixton Train Station (one stop from Victoria) which is at the opposite end of Electric Avenue. If driving the only easy place to park is the NCP car park in Canterbury Crescent, a 3-minute walk away.
