Film and Darkroom Seminar

The seminar will begin with an Introduction to film and film cameras, outlining the most suitable cameras and films available today. This will be followed by a session on Starting analogue photography without a darkroom...only a camera and film, this will include a guide to commercial film processing and darkrooms that offer a print-making service. This part of the seminar will conclude with 'The ins-and-outs of darkroom photography'- an explanation about setting up your darkroom and the techniques involved in making monochrome silver prints. Lastly, DO TRY THIS AT HOME - alternative processes without a darkroom - Cyanotypes, Anthotypes and Chlorophyll printing - a one hour practical introduction to a range of lo-fi alternative photographic processes that can be produced at home.
A morning spent learning and discussing the craft of Film and Darkroom Photography.
