Pedal Power is a visual celebration of cycling in Oxfordshire – past, present and imagined future. Historic photographs, including those of Henry W Taunt (Oxford’s most celebrated Victorian photographer), intermingle with modern images. Exhibits include a small selection of vintage bicycles, including a cycle made by William Morris, 1st Viscount Nuffield. Displays and a programme of children’s activities and evening lectures highlight how cycling can impact upon the health and environmental agendas. This exhibition is curated by Constantine Gras. Pedal Power is sponsored by Oxford City Council, University of Oxford, Cyclox – The Cycling Campaign for Oxford and The Rusty Bicycle, Arkell’s Pubs.
