As part of the Art Saves Lives Exhibition at the Hot Tap Theatre I am showing life-size portraits of some of the mothers from Mibila, a village deep in rural Zambia. These women and children now have access to primary healthcare from the Mibila Village Clinic, a vision of a UK team of volunteers and the Mibila villagers themselves.
The Mibila Village Clinic is used by over 5000 patients, and its ongoing work has been generously supported by my friends and family over the last 5 years. Given access to the basic medical resources we take for granted, these women now have a fighting chance of seeing their children become adults.
