Silvia Boarini: Unrecognised

‘Unrecognised’ brings together the work of Israeli NGO “Negev Coexistence Forum for Civil Equality” (NCF) and London based photojournalist Silvia Boarini.

NCF has been running a participatory photography programme for young people in the village of Wadi El Nam led by designer Ilan Molcho. The result is a series of startling and moving images documenting the harsh reality of life for Israel’s Negev Bedouins living in unrecognised villages.

Silvia Boarini will present work from her ongoing series ‘Bedouin Land’. Her images focus on the village of Al Araqib where she documented life before and after the recent spate of demolitions.
‘Unrecognised’ will shed light on the unresolved status of Negev Bedouins and the impact of government policies on their daily lives.
