Ingrid Newton in Gardens of Oxford and Oxfordshire (Oxford)

Gardens of Oxford and Oxfordshire is a group show, the result of an open photography competition run by Oxford based gallery Art Jericho. The exhibition offers tantalising glimpses of gardens throughout the city and county. Ingrid’s selected photographs are from her Life Goes On series – panoramic format photographs taken during the winter months of gardens backing onto the canal in Oxford. The gardens exist in a kind of limbo – a state of suspended animation, waiting for spring to wake them out of their winter hibernation – whilst life goes on oblivious elsewhere in the city.
