The fifth annual Summershow at Foto8 exhibits 159 photographic works selected from 3200 international entries to their Summershow call. LIP members Gary Cohen and Jonathan Goldberg each have photographs featured in the show.
This year’s exhibition reflects significant events covering the past year including the defeat of Gadhafi in Libya, and the spread of the global Occupy movement, alongside personal stories shared by photographers. On July 5th a jury five industry professionals including Gerry Badger and Simon Roberts will choose a ‘Best in Show’, with the winner collecting a £2000 prize. Also for the duration of the exhibition, visitors are invited to vote at the gallery for the ‘People’s Choice’ award.
The show launches with a street party in Honduras Street 6th July (by advanced ticket purchase).
