Changing Chicago / A Different London, the third issue of Backyard online magazine curated by LIP member Mark Burton, will feature highlights from the London Villages Project, with work by LIP members Alexandra Baixinho, Andy Preston, Anita Strasser, Anne Clements, Anne-Marie Glasheen, Chris Kirkpatrick, Cinnamon Heathcote-Drury, Hamish Stewart, Lesley Brew, Lucy O’Meara, Sara Massaglia, Sarah Peters, Simone Fisher and Tony McAteer.
Rare photographs of President Barack Obama’s first election campaign for the Illinois Senate in 1995 will be a major feature in the issue. The photographs of Obama are included in a mini-retrospective by acclaimed Chicago Photographer, Marc PoKempner.
Also featured are images from The Museum of Contemporary Photography (in Chicago), from the landmark project ‘Changing Chicago’ which was undertaken in the late 80’s by 30 photographers.
