Reflections of Holst as a young man – a visual feast
An exciting collaboration between the Putney satellite group of London Independent Photography and the Barnes Music Festival, combines Holst’s early work and a beautiful catalogue of photographs from this local group. The photographic brief was to assemble a collection of photographs with wide-ranging style, subject matter and mood, which embody Holst’s Piano Trio in E. Let yourself be immersed on the opening night in the music of Holst as played by the wonderful Verter Trio and be transported by a stunning visual interpretation of the ebb and flow of Holst’s early work. Also on the opening night, the photographers will speak about their work. The exhibition is open daily throughout the Barnes Music Festival, with the chance to view the photographs whilst listening to the music on your phone or tablet.
