Jill Staples with her daughter Alice and her son Tom are having an exhibition at the beautiful Sussex Prairie Garden near Henfield in West Sussex. It has an excellent tea shop and gallery. This family show will reflect their response to the garden, and during the summer will lead various workshops:
Sat 20th June – Jill will talk about the ‘Joy of Bookmaking’ and make a small booklet
Sat 18th & Sun 19th July – The family join with the RSPB, ‘Giving Nature a Prairie Home’, making sun prints (cyanotypes) and hammered leaf/flower prints
Sat 22nd August is ‘Photographer’s Day’, spent looking at ways of capturing the Prairie spirits and introducing IPSE to photographers, including a practical session photographing the garden
Sat 12th September – Tom will demonstrate putting images on different surfaces – ceramics, wood, glass, etc followed by a practical workshop
