A collaboration between three LIP Putney members & Barnes’ Music Festival. Exhibited images seek to inspire a deeper appreciation of Handel’s Messiah through beautiful visual imagery & will be on show for the duration of the Festival. The brief: to assemble a series of photographs, with wide-ranging style, subject matter and mood, which encapsulate the power and the glory emanating from this most popular and performed piece of classical music. The collection explores the three main tenets of Christmas and Easter – birth, sacrifice and the joy of resurrection – and in turn, reflects on Handel’s Messiah as a dedication to the glory of Christ.
