Ingrid Newton

Based in Oxfordshire and London, Ingrid has a particular interest in photographing the urban landscape, incorporating chance elements and exploring the nature of serendipity, coincidence and connections. Combined into sequences in book form, her images are a celebration of the spontaneous and the accidental, emphasising the underlying relationships which can occur between the apparently haphazard and random. Her latest project – ‘Par Hazard – an A-Z of chance encounters’ documents a series of journeys centred on the London A-Z where each book records a single day’s journey, subject to a different chance strategy selected by a throw of the dice.

A recent graduate of the MA Photography course at De Montfort University, Ingrid intends to pursue her interest in London as the focus of her photographic work. Her work has been featured in Ag magazine.
