Do you want to show your work to other photographers? Are you interested in looking at and discussing photography? Are you searching for new directions in your photography?

We have over 500 members with all degrees of expertise - from beginners just starting to realise the excitement of making images with a camera to very experienced amateurs and professionals. We try to cultivate a supportive, non-competitive environment in all our activities and believe that every member has the potential to contribute to our community and the opportunity to take something away in return.

Members receive LIP Magazine three times a year as well as notice of regular workshops, talks and other events.

Our Events Programme offers excellent value and a great way to develop your own photographic interests or discover new directions.

We hold an Annual Exhibition to which all members are invited to submit work for consideration by independent selectors who are well known in the photographic field.

As a member you will have the opportunity to participate in our Satellite Groups. These are independently organised, informal gatherings of LIP members in different areas of London - in galleries, workspaces, pubs or occasionally in someone’s home - where members show each other their work, engage in constructive dialogue, and generally chat about all things photographic.
