Bart Brownell

Bart Brownell bought his first real camera, a Ricoh with an electric eye, at age twelve. Since that time he has been taking pictures with whatever comes to hand: medium and large format, Diana, 35mm and digital. Most work has been personal, but he did travel freelance in Vietnam in the late 60's and early 70's with negatives filed away and only now being scanned and printed. Bart presently resides in London. His primary interests are landscape, as shaped by culture, family, and the passage of time. Current projects include artist books and limited edition portfolios of archival pigment prints.
