Constantine Gras

Constantine Gras is a fine art photographer, primarily in the medium of black and white. He operates a dark room and all exhibition prints are hand printed on fibre paper and selenium toned for archival permanence. This representative image is a still life about film, light shining on and through a roll of 35 mm film. It almost has a cinematic quality; a coiled-up tension wanting to unfold at 24 frames per second.
