Francis Minien

Francis Minien is a British Photographer, born in Reading, England in 1977. He received his BA in History and Media Studies (Lens Based) from De Montfort University, Leicester, England in 1999 and completed his MA in Photography also from De Montfort University in 2005. Awards for his work include 1st place for outstanding achievement in the 5th Annual Black and White Spider Awards 2009, an Honorary Colour Master 2007, on behalf of Photography Masters Cup and nominations for the 2007 International Colour Awards and the 2009 Michael H. Kellicutt International juried photography show.

He has been Associate of the Royal Photographic Society (ARPS) for the past 5 years. His work has been published internationally, both in print and web form by the likes of London Independent Photography Magazine and A Published Gallery. His work has also been acquired by a number of private collectors.

He has exhibited extensively in group and solo shows in the UK and also the US, most recently in New York at Soho Photo Gallery. He has also curated a number of exhibitions including the work of 16 photographers in A Global 24 hours at the inaugural Biennial Poole Photography Festival in 2004. He currently lives and works in New York City where he relocated from the UK in 2006.
