Hashim Salim

I'm a freelance photographer based in London who specialises in portraits, fashion and corporate event photography.

Escapism: I love photography simply because the shackles which chains us to rules and regulation doesn't exist. When I'm behind the lens, I'm free to express my artistic expression, build a rapport with the client as well as look for the key elements, which makes a simple photograph a really good one.

I like to get my compositions as close to being perfect while I'm performing the shoot and using advanced software to colourise the final result. To conclude, I carry a minimum set of equipment wherever I go and I love producing vibrant, colourful photographs with a high emphasis on depths of shadow and contrast.

I'm inspired by the likes of Farrokh Chothia, David LaChapelle and James Hickey. I've been trained by Nikon UK and have been a student of photography for the past 10 years.
