Marina Misiti

I'm a photographer and writer, graduated from La Sapienza University in Rome in Visual Anthropology. Having left the corporate media world upon travelling as a freelance street life, people and urbanscape photographer, I spent most of my life going back and forth between my native Italy and other countries.

My work has appeared in magazines as "Marie Claire", "Elle", "Grazia", "Gioia", "E'Lifestyle", and recently my portfolio about M.U.P. art project is online on "Sguardi" Nikon magazine. My photographs have recently been exhibited at the International Photo Festival of Corigliano C. 2008; at the Museo Emilio Greco of Sabaudia - MadphotoDonna 2009; in the Via Giulia95 Gallery in Rome (June 2010) and in the Manhattan Borough President Gallery, New York (October 2010).

The inspiration for my photography projects comes from extensive travel, avid reading and my professional background in anthropology and documentary photo-journalism.
