Sarah Michael

I was born in Greenwich and I'm now based in North London. I have a background in Art History and Fine Art. My work is primarily landscape based. I use a combination of analogue and digital media to create images which are often influenced by art historical research. In the case of recent work, I have been inspired by the painting of the Picturesque landscape tradition. I am interested by this impossible nostalgic ideal and the way in which it can be absorbed into national consciousness.
