We are excited to announce that the Spring 2010 ‘Communication’ issue of the magazine for London Independent Photography arrives this week!

This will be the thickest issue ever produced by LIP, with 64 inside pages featuring contributions from more than 40 members. With an all-new look, title and format, it’s certain to be a surprise when it arrives. More details to come!

Magazine Submission Deadline 10th February

We have had a terrific response to the new online process for submitting your work to the magazine. The deadline for submitting for the Spring 2010 issue has now been extended to Wednesday, February 10th. The theme is ‘Communication’ and is wide open for you to interpret and photograph as only you see it!

For all the info you need including guidelines and technical details, please check out the submission page. The entire online process shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes, so what are you waiting for?! We’re excited to see your view on the theme!

Winter 2009 Issue of LIP Magazine Arrives

The Frames issue will be available starting next week at the Photographers’ Gallery, Serpentine Gallery (Koenig Books), Viewfinder Gallery and National Portrait Gallery.

This is the last issue edited by Britt Hatzius, who has for the past three years invested her focus and creativity into producing a fine quality magazine to showcase our members’ work to the public.

Frames features work by photographers Tony Othen, Anne-Marie Glasheen, Kelly Hill, John Levett, Odette England, Millie Burton, Mary Pritchard, Hamish Stewart, Chris Hudson, Caroline Fraser, Jonathan Goldberg, Jenny Johnson Burrows, Peter Spurgeon, David Solomons, Nancye Gault and Jerry Barnett.

New Issue of LIP Magazine Out Now

The latest issue of our magazine is back from the printers and is currently being posted out to all members. Issue 13, themed ‘Collections’ is an exciting issue which includes some stunning pieces of work selected from member submissions. There are also interviews, book reviews and preview articles. The Editorial, Production and Distribution team of LIP’s own Magazine are once again hosting a launch party for the shortly to be published Issue 6.

The previous launch party was very popular and many members enjoy this opportunity to meet each other and to talk about the Magazine with the people who make it happen. It’s also a good chance to run past them any embryonic ideas you may have for articles and / or images submissions. LIP members can also collect their earlybird personal copies of Issue 6.

Issue 5 of our Magazine is currently with the printers and in the seasonal spirit we will be celebrating the first issue put together by our new editors with a pre-Christmas launch party.
