I started the meeting with my usual array of ‘finds’ from the internet and was particularly taken by film director Wim Wenders discussing the role of photography in the modern age – its less than a couple of minutes long but quite powerful and worth a look.

We then had a brief discussion regarding the latest LIP magazine, FlIP, which featured a piece from us and the general consensus was congratulatory and a thumbs up for the new editor, Amanda, on the vast improvement she has made to the magazine.

I then reminded everyone that I had secured from The Exchange in Putney, three dates for our annual exhibition, 16/17/18 of November and that I was pleased to confirm that Warren, one of our local estate agents, had agreed to continue their support of our event to the tune of £600, which is hugely valuable given that the space alone before our displays costs £750.
We then moved onto our theme of the month, which was Geometry – inspired by Bergina’s talk in July there was a lot good stuff on show; my personal pick would probably be Stefan’s towels but thank you to everyone who took part, great fun.
Our theme for next month will be ‘A Splash of Colour’. (Andrew Wilson)
