Good to see everyone last week and one other factor about changing our venue is that at this time of year, I won’t have to go out on our roof prior to the meeting and cover my ceiling window with blankets!

I started the meeting with an update on my search for a new venue that could cope with our increased membership and I am glad to confirm that from now on we have secured the back room of The Coach & Horses in Barnes High Street for our meetings (at no cost but we do need to purchase drinks at the bar on our way through) – Martin and I visited Karmen, the new manager, last week and tied everything up. So from next month, June, this will be our venue, you can find the back room by entering the garden through the arch and its at the back on the right. More on this when I remind everyone of our next meeting in a couple of weeksome

After showing some items of interest from the internet, I raised a possible outing this summer that John and Monireh have proposed ‘Del Boys Photo Walk’ in Peckham – would everyone interested in going on this let Monireh and John know.

Our theme this month was ‘experimentation’. My idea was for people to try out something new and there was quite a variety on show – my stand outs would have to be Juliette, which given her current lack of mobility was quite something and Paul – you can stare at his picture for quite a while and imagine all manner of things, feathers/running water, but its only when you discover its actually Waterloo station that it all fits into place, great.
Our theme next month will be Statues and Monuments, courtesy of Paul, and I look forward to seeing everyone on the 18th June for our next meeting – cheers AW.
