MISHKA HENNER: 'THE VIEW FROM HERE'

2014 Janet Hall Memorial Lecture (see this link for more info) www.mishkahenner.com

SATURDAY 18th October: SYMPOSIUM

Symposium Focus

Talks will explore the relationship between idea and instinct in photography, and investigate and debate whether the passion has gone out of photography as it has become more influenced by art historians, gallerists, and academics.

The symposium will present a view of how photographers either settle on strategies that work for them--or move between approaches as the need arises. We hope this topic will be especially interesting to the large body of photographers who believe that they can express, through photography, internal thoughts and concerns, and how this interacts with photography's vital role in documenting the world around us.
