AGM and MEMBERS' DAY:
Free event for LIP members

TIME: 12:30pm - 4:30pm

VENUE: St James's Church
197 Piccadilly, London W1J 9LL (Map)

Entrance at side stairwell by Costa Coffee

Free to LIP members

Following the success of our Members' Day last June, we have decided to combine our 2019 AGM with another opportunity for members to show and talk informally about their work.

Members are invited to attend our AGM and to elect the LIP committee for 2019. To help keep formal business short, members will be emailed with a link so that officer reports may be read in advance or printed out. Questions to the committee are welcome. If you are thinking about volunteering to help LIP this is your chance to discuss what is involved with committee members.

Roelof Bakker

During the afternoon, Roelof Bakker will present a talk based on his major dissertation for his MA at Cambridge Angus Ruskin college.

A Photograph to Hold - Responding to my digital photography archive in an analogue slide show I set out to explore the future of this digital archive.

Roelof is an experienced Dutch artist, photography, film and design being his main mediums. He is the owner of Negative Press a small Artist book publisher. One of his books produced at the end of last year, ‘Spot’ was voted one of the ten best artist’s books in 2018.

Show your work

Members are invited to bring along work to show. Tables will be available for you to present prints, photo books and 3D work. If you wish to show digital images, please bring along your own laptop.

Portfolio Review

We are pleased to announce that Bill Jackson will offer to review members work. Bill is a photographer, film maker and soundscapes designer, working in print and site specific projections. He has won many awards, most recently the Gold and Silver at the the Tokyo International in 2017 and 2018 respectfully.
He is currently producing a two screen projection for Caroline Wiseman at the 2019 Venice Biennale in May.

In addition to his talk, Roelof Bakker has also agreed to look at members work in an informal portfolio review.

Table discussion

An ideal opportunity to talk about a project, work in progress, anything photographic face to face.

Print Swap

To take part, please bring along a print of approximately A4 size in a plain envelope.

The AGM and Members' day is your event, please do come along and participate. There is no need to register or book, just turn up. We will allocate table space on the day according to demand.
