Free Portfolio Review

DATE: 4 May 2019

VENUE: ON ROAD
17a Old Nicol Street, London E2 7HR

(MAP)

There will be a Portfolio Review event to be held on Saturday 4th May to encourage LIP members and young people to select and submit their images to the next issue of fLIP on the theme of Youth. Nevertheless, the reviewers will be happy to look over your portfolio regardless of whether or not you have work that falls within that theme.

Simply bring along a selection of images that you feel best represents your current photographic interests and aspirations. If it relates in some way to the theme of Youth, that will be excellent, but it will be no problem if it does not. Part of the idea behind this event is to show the very wide range of interests and approaches of our members to any young people who attend who may not have had this sort of opportunity to view and share work before.

The reviewers are

Zelda Cheatle - Curator and Editor of Photograph

Paul Halliday - Photographer, Film-maker and Urbanist

Amanda Eatwell - fLIP Editor and professional photographer

There are thirty slots allocated for reviews lasting 15 minutes each. Nobody will know in advance who their review will be with.
As well as the more formal reviews there will be lots of opportunity for peer-reviews, and discussion amongst other participants.
We want this to be fun and informative, and especially encourage young people who rarely get the opportunity to discuss their work to attend. If you know anyone who you think would benefit from this opportunity, please ask them to sign up. This event is not exclusive to LIP members.
We look forward to seeing your work.
