Busman’s Holiday presents a diverse range of projects by artists on holiday but unable to stop photographing. Steven Jones documents his trips in a fun and striking way; Kate Goodwin collects and reinterprets rubbish found on the beach; Caroline Fraser presents abstract shots of sand and water and Anita Chandra shows pictures that you might not expect a holiday-goer to persevere with obtaining.
The exhibition featuring work by four LIP members explores the role of the other and observer while abroad, and also the shifts in identity we – perhaps wrongly – assume take place between being at work and away.
This is Viewfinder Photography Gallery’s first exhibition in its new venue in Brixton.
