This is a solo show, part of the Hereford Photography Month. In 2011 British photographer Celine Marchbank won the Hereford Photography Festival’s Open Here commission to produce a local Herefordshire project. For this she explored Hereford’s local waterway: The River Wye. Having extensively travelled what she describes as “the long, and at times lonely, journey along The Wye” from its mouth in Wales, snaking across the English and Welsh Border, to the Bristol Channel, getting to know the local communities and activities that surround the river well. Celine discovered an “amazingly beautiful landscape, but also a very deserted and isolated one”.
Runs 23 October – 22 November 2013
