The London International Documentary Festival is offering photography workshops this year.
Two 5-day intensive workshops lead by Magnum photographers Donovan Wylie and Olivia Arthur. There are spaces for 10 participants in each, aimed at professionals or advanced amateurs with a good understanding of photographic practices. There will be daily reviews, group critiques, mentoring and editing sessions. Participants will work to develop their own individual visual language, photographic identity and practical, technical and conceptual skills required to compete in the ever-changing marketplace
Donovan’s workshop will concentrate on documenting urban spaces and their populations, and successful candidates will work under his expert guidance to build a new body of London-focused work.
Olivia’s women-only workshop will give ten female photographers the chance to develop their individual visual language and really boost their portfolio in this heavily male dominated industry.
Both workshops are based in teaching rooms at UCL’s central London campus, with good transport links enabling participants to travel easily around the city.
3-7 May inclusive
from 9.30–6pm each day
Tuition £550 plus VAT
