The Independent Photographers Gallery was re-established in 2006 by Lucy Bell and Ray Kyte. The gallery is one of the premier venues for promoting art photography in the south east, outside of London and has been host to many exhibiting photographers including Sebastião Salgado, Harriet Logan, Malcolm Glover and Terry O’Neill. Each year the gallery will exhibit the work of established photographers as well as showcasing the work of lesser known photographers whose reputations are yet to be established such as the annual showcase featured in the Terry O’Neill Award.
