LIP Chronicles: Life under Lockdown

    All members were invited to submit images to LIP’s upcoming online exhibition “LIP Chronicles: Life Under Lockdown”. Selectors are: Carole Evans, D. Wiafe, Steve Macleod and Anthony Luvera

    As a community LIP has been affected by Covid-19, each member having their own perspective and their own response. This exhibition will be an inclusive online event showcasing the membership’s response during Lockdown. All work members create during this period of Lockdown is historically important. For each image submitted members are asked to write an artist statement, this will accompany the submitted images(s). If images are part of a larger project please provide an artist statement about the project. This will be additional information for the selectors during the selection process.

    During November 2020 there will be a juried virtual display of members’ work responding to the brief “LIP Chronicles: Life Under Lockdown”. A newspaper will also be published to accompany the exhibition of the work selected. Submissions are open from Monday the 13th of July until midnight Friday the 14th August 2020. Each member submitting will have a guaranteed image represented (subject to minimum technical quality; also subject to the image not being deemed offensive to the selection committee) in the exhibition and in the publication. During the selection process additional images may be chosen by the selectors from members’ submissions.

    The 32nd Annual Exhibition has been postponed until Autumn 2021.
