Firstly, a big welcome to Amir, who stunned us with his pictures of the Red Arrows, truly some of the best shots I’ve seen of them – truly memorable (I will ask if he can post them up on Posterous for all to see).

Besides being taken airborne, we also took a look at the pictures from our latest outing to the Kent Coast, where Justin introduced us to the use of filters with long exposure with some excellent results. After this experience, I shall certainly be investing in some for myself.

Our theme of the month was ‘Self Portrait’ and we had some interesting takes on this – in particular, Leonard came up with some really strong ideas.

Leonard reminded us that he is a member of The Richmond and Twickenham Photographic Society, that their annual exhibition is on in April and that he will be in attendance this Saturday afternoon 14th April – over 100 exhibits, so well worth a visit he said.

As for this month, too much on to organise a trip but I will be trying to go to Teddington this Saturday to support Leonard, so if anyone intends going please let me know and we can coordinate.

Our theme this month is ‘Dryness’, which in this time of ‘wetness’ ought to be interesting, and the meeting will be held as usual at my home at 7PM on Wednesday 25th April and I hope to see as many of you as possible.
