Here are just a few examples of the work shown during our architecture-themed meeting last month. Peter Luck gave a brief, informative talk with examples of different types of architectural photography, demonstrating how often the portrayal of buildings are manipulated and idealised by the architectural press to promote a particular, glamorous lifestyle rather than referencing how they are used, how they age, how they fit in with existing architecture. A very interesting evening indeed…..
Our next meeting will take place on Wednesday 11th June 2014 at 18.45 at the usual venue – The Artworkers Guild, 6 Queens Square, Bloomsbury, London WC1N 3AT. We will be having an open meeting this time so please bring along any work you would like to share – new work particularly welcome. Prints or digital images on a memory stick please – maximum of 10 images.
