The meeting was dedicated to current projects and first thoughts on contributions to the group exhibition Photography Matters in November / December. In the event seventeen people showed work, eleven of us potential exhibitors. The range of visuals was wide, from architectural and urban scenes to blurred dynamic abstractions of salsa dancers. Underlying principles extended from adherence to photography as primarily a medium of record (public or personal) to the metaphoric potential of photography and its capacity to express the inward. Enough to spark half a dozen exhibitions – but not this time.
