A well attended meeting  and varied presentations. John Levett noted the (surprising) lack of change in scenes he had shot in Deptford in 2007, and invited us to think of the archive.

Stefan Lubomir de Vaux showed commissioned sport publicity photos, pondering the ways of working with a rapidly moving subject  – and keeping out of the  way of the video crew sharing the gig.

Under the title ‘ A Future for Photography’ Barry Cole reviewed a show of photographic and mixed media work by GCSE students.

Shanne Ong had returned from a brief visit to Cambodia with photos that moved from orthodox photos of Angkor Wat to more investigative images of Phnom Penh, instigating a debate on poverty tourism and the responsibilities of the photographer.
