We covered a great deal of ground in our first meeting of the New Year. The theme for the evening was “current projects” which took us from New York and Hong Kong to Brick Lane via Regents Park, South East London and Camden. There were also more metaphorical projects on happiness, waste, dislocation and the past. The evening was completed with pictures taken in an art gallery. We really are a very diverse group!
Some of these projects are works in progress for our exhibition, “The Space Between” in April at Espacio Gallery. Members were able to gain valuable feedback on what was working and what might need to be rethought.
It was also really heartening that newer members came forward to share work for the first time. We hope that they will continue to show work in the coming months. If this meeting is anything to go by this should be a varied and exciting year at the Central Satellite Group.

Our next meeting will take place on Wednesday 14th February at 18.45 at the usual venue – The Art Workers Guild, 6 Queens Square, Bloomsbury, London WC1N 3AT. The theme will be Home – a topic close to all our hearts which will surely be open to the most individual interpretations. Please bring along any work you wish to share on a memory stick or in print or book form.
