Good to see everyone after the summer break (where does all the time go!).
I started proceedings with the news that unfortunately, due to the current circumstances, The Exchange in Putney will not be allowing us to exhibit this year. However, Martin suggested that we might like to investigate a trail type approach across the shops etc. of Putney. I happen to know the lady that runs Positively Putney, Nicola Grant, who used to be our town centre manager and I shall see if she might help us with this – I will let you know how I get on. There was also thought of trying to do something virtually, but not sure how that might work but worth bearing in mind.
Our theme this month was symmetry and again, a lot of great stuff was submitted – stand outs for me would have to be James K with his striking glass, Julian’s colourful building and I liked Martin’s checkerboard. David gave us something to think about, given all his entries were very strong and although we didn’t pick his first shot, he has shared details of Mary Watts place and if anyone wishes to know more please use this link –  https://www.wattsgallery.org.uk/about-us/artists-village/watts-chapel/
Our chosen theme for next month is the topical ‘six’ and I look forward to someone tracking down that person with six fingers?
Our meeting next month will be on 20th October and on Zoom.
All the best everyone and see you next month Andrew Wilson
