Thanks to everyone who attended our September meeting. We covered a lot of territory in two hours from Wembley to Mississippi!

We started the meeting by looking at a range of work on the themes of mirrors/reflections and also images of people’s summer.
Frankie, Robin, Edmond and I showed a selection of photographs, some you can see here.

The highlight was the presentation by Kyun of his reportage work on football supporters at the Euros at Wembley, which he’s now putting together as a zine.
His images stimulated a discussion on this style of photography and image sequencing which would be great topics for a future meeting.

This led us to a fascinating talk by Arun on the book “Sleeping by the Mississippi” by Alec Soth, followed by further discussion on the themes of the book and content of the photographs. A recording is available here.

We concluded the meeting by a request from Robin for any ideas of pop up venues to show photographs from LIP’s Annual Exhibition. Please contact Robin directly.

Frankie, Edmond and I then gave an update on Ealing Unlocked. The photographs will be installed on Wednesday 8 September and the official opening is on Saturday 11 September between 3 and 5pm at the police station.

Do visit -it’s our group show! Sean
