New Photography Book by Gary Williams Celebrates the People and Personalities of Camden Passage
Islington-based photographer and LIP member Gary Williams is proud to announce the launch of his new photo book, The Little Book of Camden Passage. This is the result of a four-year project documenting the unique charm and character of Camden Passage and its vibrant community. Having lived in Islington for nearly 15 years, Gary has always been enchanted by Camden Passage. “It’s such a special street full of charming independent shops, cafés, restaurants and market traders,” he explains. “This isn’t a directory of every shop in the passage – the aim of this book is to capture its essence and personalities who make it such a special place.” To celebrate the launch of The Little Book of Camden Passage, the Angel Islington Business Improvement District, with the support of NatWest Bank, is staging an outdoor exhibition of Gary’s photos. The exhibition was officially opened on 8th August on the colonnade between Angel tube station and Camden Passage and is expected to be in place until at least the end of the year.
