{"id":5537,"date":"2025-07-31T19:18:05","date_gmt":"2025-07-31T19:18:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.londonphotography.org.uk\/upcoming\/?page_id=5537"},"modified":"2026-07-21T12:42:08","modified_gmt":"2026-07-21T12:42:08","slug":"terms-and-conditions","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.londonphotography.org.uk\/upcoming\/terms-and-conditions\/","title":{"rendered":"Terms and Conditions\u2028"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Terms and Conditions below apply to all work submitted.<\/p>\n<p>1.\u00a0The London Independent Photography Annual Exhibition is open to all members with a valid membership of London Independent Photography at the time of submission and exhibition.<\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0By submitting an image to the London Independent Photography Annual Exhibition, each entrant confirms that:\u2028\u00a0\u2028a) It is their own original work. \u2028\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u2028<br \/>\nb) That they own the copyright to each work\u2028\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u2028<br \/>\nc) If their work is accepted; they will grant LIP the right to display a copy as part of an online exhibition gallery, on the LIP website, in LIP publicity media, and in the publication to accompany the exhibition. Each photographer will be credited appropriately.<br \/>\nd) The work submitted must not have been shown in a previous LIP Annual Exhibition.<\/p>\n<p>3.\u00a0Copyright of each image is retained by the photographer<\/p>\n<p>4.\u00a0It is the responsibility of the photographer to arrange insurance for their work if required. Whilst every effort is taken to ensure the safekeeping of submitted photographic prints and other materials,\u00a0London Independent Photography will\u00a0NOT\u00a0be held liable for any loss or damage that occurs during the selection process, in storage or transit, or at the gallery.<\/p>\n<p>5. The decision of the Exhibition Organiser is final\u2028<\/p>\n<p>6. Submission Guidelines<br \/>\nYou must submit your completed form and associated image files by 11:59pm  Sunday 25 October 2026.\u2028\u2028<br \/>\na) You may submit a maximum of six image files.\u2028\u2028<br \/>\nb) The Independent Selectors (to be announced) will independently select the works which they consider should be hung in the exhibition. A maximum of three works per photographer will be chosen. The Organiser(s)may adjudicate works chosen by one selector only, in order to manage the total number of works hung.\u2028<\/p>\n<p>7.\u00a0Image specification for digital submission<br \/>\na) Please ensure that you upload image files with the following specification:\u2028- jpg files, maximum 2MB each\u2028- sized 1800px on longest side\u2028\u2028.<br \/>\nb) To keep the submissions anonymous please name your jpg files with your LIP Membership number as shown below. If you don\u2019t know your LIP Membership number, check your online\u00a0Membership Account, or contact the membership secretary at\u00a0membership@londonphotography.org.uk<br \/>\nc) Individual images may be submitted or images as part of a series (or a combination). \u2028For individual images, files must be named with LIP Membership Number, \u2018dash\u2019, sequence number \u2013 so for example if you are member #7777, the files should be named as follows: 7777-1.jpg, 7777-2.jpg, 7777-3.jpg, 7777-4.jpg etc ( up to a maximum of 6)\u2028\u2028.<br \/>\nd) For Series or a combination: as above but place the letter s after the file name for each of the images forming the series. For example, 7777-1s.jpg, 7777-2s.jpg, 7777-3s.jpg, 7777-4s.jpg, 7777-5.jpg, 7777-6.jpg.  Here the first 4 images are part of a series, and the last 2 images are single image submissions. If you wish to submit more than one series, use s1, s2 etc\u2028<\/p>\n<p>NOTE: LIP cannot be held responsible for lost digital submissions if your files are not named to specification.\u2028\u00a0\u2028<br \/>\n8. Print Quality and Delivery of selected photographs for exhibition<br \/>\na).\u00a0Espacio uses a hanging system comprising sliding hooks on wires suspended from the ceiling. We cannot fix any work directly to the wall. Accordingly, selected prints must be framed or mounted on a rigid board (such as Foamex, Aluminium or MDF). Frames and boards must have D-rings attached to the rear to mount on the hooks. (See Help and Advice below below).<br \/>\nb). The maximum size of work including any frame is 75 cm wide and 95cm high including frame. Larger works will not be hung. Make sure you have instructed your printer\/framer correctly.<br \/>\nc).\u00a0All finished selected work should be clearly labelled on the back with your name with the topside of the print marked (if necessary).<br \/>\nd)\u00a0If your print, mount and frame do not meet LIP\u2019s quality standard your work will not be hung at the exhibition.\u2028<\/p>\n<p>9. Fees<br \/>\na) Entry fee is \u00a330 per LIP member. This fee entitles each photographer to submit up to six images.<br \/>\nb) Hanging fee is \u00a315 per work. This fee covers hanging and take down.
